ESPN The Magazine‘s “One Day, One Game” Issue on Newsstands Today
The latest issue of ESPN The Magazine -- on newsstands today -- captures an NFL game day from 360˚. While most of fans’ attention is on the three hours of the game itself, this issue dedicates its focus to the other 165 hours of what goes into making these three worthy of our undivided attention. When the Pittsburgh Steelers visited the Houston Texans on October 2, another two dozen writers and photographers from The Mag descended on “Space City” to offer readers an unparalleled front row seat and view from within.
Features in “One Day, One Game” include spending time at home with Texans billionaire owner, Robert McNair, as he made his most crucial decision of the day, being in the tunnel with Ben Roethlisberger just before he sprinted onto the field, and following every move from start to finish of the Texans trainer as Andre Johnson collapsed in a heap midway through the second quarter. From pre-game to post, ESPN The Magazine covered every person, place, and moment, encapsulating the day from all angles and perspectives.
