Ricardo Ortiz brings years of experience covering international sports to his role as ESPN’s Spanish-language play-by-play announcer for soccer, the NBA, tennis and boxing.

Before joining ESPN, Ortiz worked for Pan-American Sports Network (PSN), where he served as play-by-play commentator from 2000-01, play-by-play commentator Fox Deportes from 2001-10 and most recently at HBO Spanish Boxing from 2009-11 where he served as a boxing commentator. 

Ortiz earned a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad La Salle Pigue in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
