Eamon McAnaney joined ESPN in January 2006, working various collegiate events as a play-by-play announcer and reporter. He is a part of ESPN Regional Television packages for Big East football and men’s basketball, and has become a strong voice for men’s lacrosse events as a play-by-announcer and reporter. During the 2010-11 season, McAnaney was a sideline reporter for three bowl games (Pinstripe Bowl, GoDaddy.com Bowl and Independence Bowl). 

McAnaney began his career in television working as a producer at ESPN in Bristol and New York City from 1994-2000. He transitioned over as a sports reporter and anchor in 2001 with News 12 (N.Y., N.J., Conn). McAnaney has also held similar positions with MSG Network, NBA TV and TNT Sports. He still sees time on SportsNet New York as a studio host on several shows. 

A 1991 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in American studies, McAnaney was a four-year letter winner and captain in 1991 on men’s lacrosse as a defenseman.
