Steve Weissman

Steve Weissman joined ESPNEWS, ESPN's 24-hour sports news network, as an anchor in January 2010.

Before joining ESPN, Weissman worked as a sports anchor and reporter at a variety of outlets.  He was most recently the lead anchor for Comcast SportsNet California (2006-2009), and also spent time at WNEM-TV in Saginaw, Mich. (2004-2006), WMTV-TV in Madison, Wisc. (2003-2004) and WBKB-TV in Alpena, Mich. (2002-2003).

Weissman has been honored with many awards, including Best Live Sports Reporting and Best Sportscast from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and Best Sports Reporting from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.

A native of Silver Spring, Md., Weissman is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.  He is an avid tennis player and was ranked as a junior in Maryland.
