Jill Frederickson
Jill Frederickson oversees all of ESPN’s motorsports event production, including NASCAR and the IndyCar Series. In addition, she oversees ESPN’s NASCAR studio production, including NASCAR Now and NASCAR Countdown. She was named a coordinating producer in ESPN’s remote production in December 2003 and promoted to senior coordinating producer in April 2008.
Frederickson is responsible for hiring all production and talent related to motorsports programming, developing an overall vision for the brands she works with and finding the most successful team to execute it. She was involved in all aspects of planning for the production aspects of ESPN’s return to NASCAR coverage in 2007 and remains involved on a day-to-day basis. Her duties with the IndyCar Series include oversight of ESPN’s coverage of the Indianapolis 500 as well as other races on the series.
Prior to becoming a coordinating producer at ESPN, Frederickson was a freelance producer for a variety of sports programming -- including the NASCAR Craftsman Truck and NASCAR Nationwide Series, X Games and Great Outdoor Games for ESPN.
An Indianapolis native, Frederickson received a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. She has won multiple Sports Emmy awards, including for her work on NBC's coverage of the 1996 Summer Olympics as well as the Opening Tease for the 2006 Indianapolis 500 on ABC.
