ESPN’s “voice of poker”, Lon McEachern, co-hosts all of ESPN’s poker telecasts with analyst Norman Chad, most notably the very popular World Series of Poker and World Series of Poker Europe. 

Previously, McEachern was co-host of the Tournament of Champions and the U.S. Poker Championships on ESPN. He has also lent his talent to a variety of ESPN shows since 1994, including the X Games, World Cup Skiing, billiards and K-1 Kickboxing. 

Prior to his work with ESPN, McEachern called a variety of sporting events such as inline skating, martial arts, and the Tour de France for both Fox Sports and the Outdoor Life Network.  McEachern worked as a sports anchor for both San Francisco’s CBS affiliate KPIX (1993) and ABC affiliate KGO-TV (1990-1992).  From 1983-1989 he produced sports features for GGP Sports (1988-1989) and served as Sports Director for KCOY-TV in Santa Maria, Calif. (1983-88). 

McEachern was graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in communications.  He received a Golden Mic Award for his radio work in Southern California.
