ESPN First Take &  1^st and 10 Commentator  

Skip Bayless joined ESPN in 2004 as a commentator on Cold Pizza, ESPN2’s weekday morning show (10 a.m.-12 p.m. ET).  In May 2007, the show moved from New York to ESPN’s high-definition studio in Bristol, Conn., and was rechristened ESPN First Take.  A nationally respected columnist, Bayless, well-known for his strong opinions appears on the 1^st and 10 segments.  The best of those segments are aired on ESPN on 1^st and 10 (weekdays at 4 p.m.).  

Bayless previously worked as a star columnist in Dallas, Chicago and San Jose for over 20 years.  He also wrote in Miami and Los Angeles.  He is the author of three books chronicling three Dallas Cowboys eras. 

Bayless was graduated from Vanderbilt University, which he attended on the university’s prestigious Fred Russell-Grantland Rice Sportswriting Scholarship.
