Rick DeBruhl

Veteran auto racing reporter Rick DeBruhl returned to ESPN’s motorsports coverage team in 2009 as a pit reporter for selected NASCAR Nationwide Series and IZOD IndyCar Series races. DeBruhl started with ESPN in 1987 and worked telecasts of various forms of racing including IMSA, Trans-Am, Formula One, Champ Car, off road, Superbikes and NASCAR. He also previously hosted the Thursday Night Thunder anthology series. 

Most recently, DeBruhl has been associated with the SPEED network, where he did play-by-play for Formula One races for two years and has hosted auto auction events. 

DeBruhl worked at KPNX-TV in Phoenix for more than 25 years and won three Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards. He started his TV career at KCOY-TV in Santa Maria, Calif. A native of Southern California, DeBruhl has a journalism degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
