- Mike Gleason
Mike Gleason has served as a play-by-play and studio host for ESPN since 1998. Gleason currently handles Big East football and basketball for ESPN Regional Television. He also does studio and play-by-play for ESPNU, including the Home Depot College Football Awards, bowl games and the NBA Pre-Draft Combine. He occasionally calls a variety of college sports, including football, basketball, baseball and gymnastics championships for ESPN.
Gleason has also contributed to ESPNEWS, ESPN Classic and ESPN’s coverage of Arena Football League games.
Before joining ESPN, Gleason worked for WBNS-AM in Columbus, Ohio, from 1994-96, as a show host and play-by-play voice for Ohio State men’s basketball. He also worked at WBNS-TV in Columbus from 1987-98 as an anchor and handled a variety of play-by-play assignments.
Gleason is a 1978 graduate of Northern Michigan University with a bachelor of science degree in broadcasting/communications.
