Steve Bunin

Steve Bunin joined ESPNEWS, ESPN’s 24-hour sports news network, as an anchor in August 2003.  Bunin frequently hosts the Emmy Award-winning program Outside the Lines and has also hosted ESPN’s flagship sports news program, SportsCenter, as well as NFL Live, Baseball Tonight, ESPNEWS and studio coverage of various live events, from the World Cup to college football and men's college basketball.

Bunin previously worked as a sports anchor at WOTV in Battle Creek, Mich., (June 2002 - August 2003) and as sports director for WLAJ in Lansing, Mich., (February 2000 - April 2001), where he covered a variety of events including Michigan State's 2000 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship team.

Bunin served as the sports director for KNAZ-TV in Flagstaff, Ariz., (1998-2000), where he had originally been employed as a sports anchor.  In 1997 Bunin worked as the sports director for WICZ-TV in Binghamton, N.Y.  His career began in 1995 as a sports anchor for WTVH-TV in Syracuse, N.Y.

In 1998, the Arizona Associated Press honored Bunin for the Best TV Sportscast, as well as the Best TV Sports Coverage.  He also received an award from the Michigan Associated Press in 2000 for the state’s Best TV Sportscast.

Originally from Seattle, Wash.,  Bunin earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University.
