Steve Berthiaume
Baseball Tonight Host
Steve Berthiaume is a host of ESPN’s Baseball Tonight and writes for ESPN.com’s SweetSpot blog. Steve has had two stints with ESPN, rejoining the network in 2007 as a SportsCenter anchor. Previously he had worked as a sports anchor for the SportsNet New York (SNY) cable network (2006). Berthiaume worked for ESPN from 1999-2006 as an ESPNEWS anchor and was frequently seen on SportsCenter.
Prior to working at ESPN, he worked at CNN and CNNSI where he was an anchor from the 24-hour network from 1996 to 1999. Before joining CNNSI, Berthiaume spent three years as a sports anchor with WTIC-TV in Hartford, Conn. (1993-1996). He also served as a sports anchor/reporter at WEAR-TV, the ABC affiliate in Pensacola, Fla. (1992-1993); and NBC affiliates WJAR-TV in Providence, R.I. (1990-1991); WIS-TV in Columbia, S.C. (1998-1989); and WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Va. (1987).
Berthiaume is a native of Medfield, Mass. He was graduated from Boston’s Emerson College in 1987 with a bachelor of science degree in broadcast journalism.
